Edward Patrick Kranz, owner and master bookbinder, has been awarded a Folk & Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts via Erie Arts & Culture.

Local bookbinding studio, BOOKFORGE, is thrilled to announce they have been awarded a Creative Entrepreneur Accelerator Program (CEAP) grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts via Erie Arts & Culture. This prestigious grant will empower BOOKFORGE to transition from a one-off bindery to a full-fledged, hand-crafted production studio.

To support our growing bookbinding & book restoration business and to provide an ideal environment for book arts workshops and demonstrations, BOOKFORGE is moving into a new bookbinding studio space, in the historic landmark Performing Arts Collective Alliance (PACA) building, on September first of this year! The PACA building is in downtown Erie, Pennsylvania at 1505 State St.
